Selecting a Major Based on Talent and Interest Using the Naive Bayes Algorithm in Python

Abstract

Choosing the right major is an important step in education, which can influence a person's academic success and career. This study aims to develop a major recommendation system based on students' talents and interests using the Naive Bayes algorithm. The data used in this study includes demographic information, academic performance, as well as the results of students' talent and interest tests. The Naive Bayes algorithm is employed to group and analyze the data to provide the most suitable major recommendations for each student.
