Implementation of Student Management in Improving the Quality of Graduates in SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita

This study aims to determine how student management improves the quality of graduates of SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection from respondents using purposive sampling techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Qualitative data obtained were analyzed at the data reduction stage, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of student management at SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita is by: (1) student planning, (2) student acceptance, (3) student orientation, (4) managing student attendance and absence, (5) student grouping, (6) evaluation of student learning outcomes (7) managing student level systems, (8) student transfers and dropouts, (9) student code of ethics, punishments, and discipline. And the quality of graduates is carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita by means of academic and non-academic achievements. The research expects the implementation of student management to focus more on student activities so that it can improve the quality of graduates such as achievements in extracurricular activities and acceptance at several state universities in Indonesia.
