The Influence of the Principal's Participative Leadership Style on Teacher Performance at State Middle School 2 Bandar Khalipah, Serdang Regency Bedagai Academic Year 2024/2025

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the principal's participatory leadership style on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalipah, Serdang Bedagai Regency in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The method used in this study is the quantitative inferential statistical method. The population is all teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalipah, Serdang Bedagai Regency, namely 35 people. Sampling is 100% of the population, namely 35 people. The research instrument is a closed questionnaire. The results of data analysis show that there is an influence of the principal's participatory leadership style on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalipah in the 2024/2025 Academic Year: 1) Analysis requirements test, normality test obtained asymp sig. (2-tailed) of 0.153>0.05 2) Hypothesis Testing a) correlation test between variables X and Y obtained a value of rxy=0.699>rtable=0.334 indicating a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) significant relationship test obtained a value of tcount>ttable which is 5.618>2.034 thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. c) regression equation test, obtained a regression equation Ŷ=25.540+0.827X. d) regression determination coefficient test (r2)=48.9%. e) hypothesis test using the F test obtained fcount>ftable which is 31.563>4.13 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The study concluded that there was a positive and significant influence of the principal's participatory leadership style on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalipah, Serdang Bedagai Regency in the 2024/2025 Academic Year of 48.9%.
