Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the structure, role, function, and constellation of the genogram of people with substance use disorders (SUD) at the Loka Rehabilitas BNN Deli Serdang. This study uses a qualitative research methodology with a case study method (description, analysis, pastoral reflection, and pastoral action). Data collection techniques were obtained through initial observation, interviews, purposive sampling, and documentation. The results of the CPSUD genogram study showed that there were different family structures, roles that were not aligned, experiencing dysfunction and dual constellations, permissive parenting patterns, conflict in the family, and layered grief. The pastoral reflection put forward by the author in this study is that the role of parents in educating children must be wise and balanced. By the teachings of the Word of God (Ephesians 6:4), the author also reflects on himself as a counselor who must bring the right and directed pastoral approach to provide a balance between recovery from addiction and healing from the grief experienced. The pastoral function found based on the genogram is improving relationships with family members. Pastoral action is that the Counselor should use a gestalt approach in counseling and addiction counseling.
